My story
For 7 years before lockdown, I was working as a chef in many busy kitchens in Sligo. And like most chefs I was overworked, had a pretty poor diet, and burned the candle at both ends. During a busy summer after 23 days with no days off, I noticed that I had become quite overweight and decided to start taking my fitness seriously. Over several months I had made some good results but needed a little help when I hit a “plateau” for results.
I hired a personal trainer who has since been one of my closest friends who helped me cut through all the BS of the fitness world and find the best approach for me.
When lockdown happened I used the time off as an opportunity to make a big change career-wise. For myself, the time off was a blessing in disguise to be educated and become qualified in something that I constantly think about each day and something that I eat, sleep, and breathe.
I decided to start Awakened Fitness to help people that have been in the same position as myself and that felt lost, frustrated and overwhelmed with fad diets, supplement marketing and basic social media misinformation.
I’m looking forward to many years of helping clients succeed and get the most out of themselves by becoming happier, healthier people.

I’ve had so many years of trial and error before and I want to help people reach the goals they are after without having to constantly try and fail for as long as I did.
